How does calendar event QR work?
An event QR code stores iCalendar information including the title, start/end time, location and short description. Compatible phones can offer to create a calendar event. This tool encodes local, floating times; always confirm the resulting time zone on the visitor’s device.
How to make your QR code
- Enter the event name, start and end times, and optional location.
- Check that the end time is after the start time.
- Scan the code with your target device and verify the calendar details before distributing it.
Brand your QR code with a logo
Upload your own company logo and choose a circular badge inside the QR, a larger logo beside the code, or both. Choose the center badge shape (white circle or rounded square) and spacing. The QR squares behind the logo are left empty. High error correction helps, but scan-test before printing.
Tips for reliable scanning
- The event uses local clock times without a time-zone identifier. Check behavior when your audience spans multiple time zones.
- Keep descriptions short to avoid oversized QR codes.
- Include the event date and time in plain text on invitations too.
