What is a QR code?
A QR code is a two-dimensional pattern that can store a short piece of information, such as a URL, contact card or text. Camera and scanner apps interpret that pattern and may suggest an action, such as opening a webpage or joining a Wi-Fi network.
Three ways to improve scan reliability
- Use readable colors. Dark modules on a light background work best. We warn you when the contrast is unusually low.
- Leave a quiet zone. Each generated code includes four blank modules around its edges. Keep this border visible when inserting the code into designs.
- Test on a real device. Print quality, scanner software and any optional logo can all influence whether the code scans properly.
Static codes versus dynamic codes
QR Code Studio generates static QR codes. The encoded content stays inside your PNG or SVG. We do not provide short links, redirect management, editable destinations or scan tracking. For an editable landing page, link to a URL that you own and can update.
